CERCA LEA is committed to establish sustainable development through cooperative bilateral partnerships with all its partners, users, statutory agencies, and suppliers.
As a laboratory that produces radioactivity standards, CERCA LEA is linked to the worldwide recognized LNE/LNHB (Henri Becquerel National Laboratory) to ensure the consistency of values and units used in the field of ionizing radiation.
CERCA LEA is authorized to prepare, import, export, hold for distribution and sell artificial radionuclides contained in sealed or unsealed sources.
As an environmental classified unit, CERCA LEA is subject to authorization from the Department of Industry, Research, and Environment (DRIRE) and to the regulations of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) and of the Institute for Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) governing the conditions for fabrication, storage, and sales of radioactive nuclides.
CERCA LEA dispatches its radioactive waste to a specialized center for treatment. The treated waste is subsequently stored in a dedicated facility, operated for example by the French National Radioactive Waste Management Agency (ANDRA).
